QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
BoxWherever FAQ
The short version: you choose the music, the place, the workout, and what plays next. BoxWherever supplies the beat-locked boxing.
Does BoxWherever have coaches?
No. BoxWherever is intentionally coach-free. There are no introductions, monologues, or pep talks layered over your song. The music, targets, and visual cues guide the workout so you can stay inside the rhythm.
How is that different from many subscription fitness apps?
Many fitness services choose the instructor, catalog, sequence, and environment for you. BoxWherever is built around personal control: your authorized music, your private workout library, your chosen real-world scene, and adjustable choreography.
Can I really use my own music?
Yes. Upload an authorized DRM-free MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, or similar audio file to your private Studio. BoxWherever analyzes it and creates a beat-locked workout. Downloads protected inside streaming subscriptions are not ordinary music files and cannot be uploaded.
Can BoxWherever create a song for me?
Yes. Tell Studio what the song should be about and choose a genre. One song creation produces two original three-minute options from the same story. Preview both, choose one for your workout, or download the MP3. Every paired account receives one complimentary creation; additional packs are purchased securely on the BoxWherever website.
Do I have to play songs I dislike to reach one I want?
No. Your paired Quest shows your private workout library. Choose the exact workout you want to play next. BoxWherever does not force you through a predefined program or someone else’s sequence.
Are the scenes real places?
Location scenes use compatible real-world 360° imagery where coverage is available. Choose a favorite vacation spot, revisit a childhood neighborhood, or preview a place you hope to visit. Coverage and image quality vary by location.
Can I choose the direction I face?
Yes. Studio lets you preview a scene and save the opening direction. When the workout begins, the target path and starting view are aligned to that choice.
Can I adjust the difficulty?
Yes. Choose from five overall intensity levels, set workout preferences, and adjust the balance of targets, hooks, uppercuts, ducks, and side dodges. You can also edit individual beats in the timeline.
Why does the Quest app ask me to visit BoxWherever.com?
Your private Studio is where you upload music, choose scenes, build workouts, and manage your headset. The Quest displays a six-digit code; enter it in Studio once, and your ready workouts appear in the headset library.
Does BoxWherever include anything before I add music?
Yes. The app includes an original training workout so you can calibrate and try the core experience before pairing or uploading a personal song.
Can my family have separate profiles?
Yes. One household account can have up to six internal profiles, including the primary profile. Each has its own workouts, opening scene, calibration, settings, and active-song choices. No additional email, Facebook, or Meta account is needed. Every family song appears in Household Songs; select Use song to add another member's song to your profile and Quest library. Only the profile that added a song can edit it.
How long is my uploaded song stored?
Song audio is stored for 12 months after its last complete play. About 30 days before expiration, the song shows an on-screen countdown in Studio and on Quest; no expiration emails are sent. Play the full song to renew it for another year. If the audio expires, its small workout map, scene, direction, and rotation settings remain. Re-upload the exact same recording and BoxWherever restores them automatically.
