Is there a subscription?
No. BoxWherever is a one-time $19.99 purchase on the Meta Horizon Store. Nothing renews and there is no monthly fee.
How does the free trial work?
Meta's Try Before You Buy gives you 30 minutes of the full app. Start it from the Horizon Store on your headset. When the time is up, Meta offers the purchase; you can buy then or come back to the store later.
Do I have to buy music?
No. Five original BoxWherever songs are included, and you can upload any DRM-free audio file you already own. If you want a particular song you do not own, Studio's guided iTunes Store search helps you buy the file from Apple. You can also create original songs with an AI creation.
Does my family need separate purchases?
One BoxWherever account holds up to six household profiles, each with its own maps, scene and settings, and no extra email or Meta account is needed for a profile. The app itself is bought through your Meta account, so Meta's own rules on sharing apps between headsets and accounts apply.
What do AI song creations cost?
Every paired account receives one complimentary creation. Extra packs are 5 for $9, 10 for $15 or 25 for $32, bought inside Studio through secure checkout on boxwherever.com. One creation produces two three-minute options; keep either one, or download the MP3.
What happens to songs I upload?
Song audio is stored for 12 months after its last complete play. Playing the song through renews it for another year. If audio does expire, the map, scene and settings remain, and re-uploading the same recording restores everything.
