HOW IT WORKS
From your song
to the round.
BoxWherever does the technical work of turning a song into a boxing map. You choose the music, the place and how hard you want to go. Here is the whole path, start to finish.
01
Install it on your Quest
Open the Meta Horizon Store on your headset, search for BoxWherever and start the free 30-minute trial. It runs on Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S and Pro and needs an internet connection. Keep it for a one-time $19.99; there is no subscription.
- A guided training round is built in, so you can calibrate and learn the targets before adding any music.
- Five original BoxWherever songs are ready to play from the first launch.
02
Create your Studio and pair once
Studio is your private workspace on boxwherever.com. Create a free account, then enter the six-digit code the headset shows you. That pairs the Quest with your account, and you only do it once per headset.
- One account holds up to six household profiles, each with its own maps, scene and settings. No extra email or Meta account is needed.
- A paired headset sees only that member's ready maps and workouts.
03
Add your music
Upload a DRM-free audio file you own, such as MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC or OGG, or use Studio's guided iTunes Store search to buy the exact recording and upload the purchased file. Downloads from streaming subscriptions are protected files and will not work.
- No song in mind? Describe a mood and a story and BoxWherever composes two original three-minute options. Your first creation is complimentary.
- Song audio stays on file for 12 months after its last complete play, and playing it through renews it for another year.
04
Choose your world
Pick a place with real 360° imagery, from a beach to the street you grew up on, and set the direction you want to face when the music starts. You can also upload a 2:1 panorama of your own.
- Studio flags scenes that are off level, so the horizon in your headset stays straight.
- Add a quiet ambient bed, such as city traffic, under the music.
05
Map it, then make it yours
Press Map It and BoxWherever analyses the song and places targets on the beat. That single-song result is a map. Set an overall intensity from one to five, choose how many hooks, uppercuts, ducks and side dodges you want, and edit any beat on the timeline.
- A workout is a collection of maps that play back to back, in the order you choose, with no limit on length.
- Everything follows the beat, and nothing talks over your song. There are no coaches.
06
Step inside
Put on the headset, choose a map or workout from your library, calibrate once, and box. Every round ends with your results, and a weekly goal ring keeps count of your minutes.
- Anything new you build in Studio appears in the headset on the next refresh. No cables, no sideloading.
- Category settings you change in the headset stay with your profile between sessions.
